Yes. That's not marketing copy — it's the standard we hold ourselves to. If your brake pads have plenty left, your alignment is in spec, or your battery tests strong, we tell you and recommend coming back later. The shop has been here 20+ years because customers come back, not because we sell them work they don't need.

When daytime temperatures consistently drop below 7°C, typically mid-October to early November in Ottawa. Winter tires stay flexible in cold and provide significantly better traction than all-seasons. Book early — the changeover rush starts in late October.

Yes. We install customer-supplied tires. The installation charge covers mounting, balancing, and TPMS reset where applicable. We can't warranty tires we didn't supply, but you're welcome to bring your own.

All-season tires generally last 60,000 to 100,000 km depending on driving habits, vehicle, and rotation discipline. Winter tires last 4 to 6 seasons of Ottawa winters. We measure tread depth at every visit — once you're under 4/32" for winter (or 3/32" for summer), it's time to plan a replacement.

All-season tires are designed for warm and mild conditions and lose grip below 7°C — not ideal for Ottawa winters. All-weather tires carry the 3-peak-mountain-snowflake symbol and meet winter tire legal standards in Quebec; they're a reasonable compromise if you don't want to swap tires twice a year. Winter tires use a specialized rubber compound that stays flexible in cold, with significantly shorter braking distance on snow and ice — the best choice for full Ottawa winters.

DriveON (formerly known as the Drive Clean program) is Ontario's vehicle safety inspection program. A safety inspection is required when transferring vehicle ownership, registering an out-of-province vehicle, or rebuilding a salvage vehicle. Tire Plus is a licensed DriveON Vehicle Inspection Centre. Inspections start at $199.

First, check your tire pressures — a sudden temperature drop often triggers TPMS. Inflate to the specification on your door jamb. If the light stays on after a short drive, drop in — we diagnose, replace, and reprogram TPMS sensors at our shop. Most TPMS sensors last 5 to 8 years.
