DriveON Safety Inspection in Orleans

What is the DriveON program?

DriveON is the Government of Ontario's vehicle inspection program. The InspectiON program covers mandatory safety inspections for vehicles that need to pass a Safety Standards Certificate. Tire Plus is a licensed DriveON Vehicle Inspection Centre, authorized by the Ministry of Transportation to perform these inspections in Orleans.

When do you need a safety inspection?

• Transferring vehicle ownership from one person to another (private sale)
• Registering an out-of-province vehicle in Ontario
• Rebuilt status vehicles — to remove the rebuilt status and re-register
• Some commercial vehicles — annual safety inspections
• Lapsed registration in some cases

You do not need a safety inspection for a routine renewal of your existing registration.
