Used tires

We also stock select used tires when available. Used tires can be a good fit if you need to replace one damaged tire on an otherwise newer set, or if you're driving a high-mileage vehicle on a tight budget. Inventory varies — call 613-834-7325 to ask about availability for your size.

What's included with every set of tires

The price you see in our tire search is the price you pay (plus tax and environmental fees). Every tire we sell includes:

  • Computer balancing
  • Mounting and installation
  • Nitrogen fill (with complimentary top-ups for life)
  • Old tire disposal
  • Honest road force assessment — we'll tell you if a tire shows runout issues

When should you replace your tires?

  • Tread depth at or below 4/32" — winter performance suffers significantly
  • Tread depth at 2/32" — legal minimum, you must replace
  • Visible damage — sidewall bulges, deep cuts, embedded objects
  • Cracks in the rubber from age (most tires are good for 6-10 years regardless of mileage)
  • Vibration that an alignment doesn't fix
  • Uneven wear — even with new tires, an alignment check is recommended

Winter tires in Ottawa

Ottawa winters are no joke. When daytime temperatures drop below 7°C, winter tires significantly outperform all-seasons in stopping distance and traction. Most Ontario insurance companies offer a discount when you install winter tires (typically 5%). Book early — the changeover rush starts in late October and runs through November.

We also offer seasonal tire storage so you don't have to keep a second set in your garage. Ask about availability when you book.

All-season vs all-weather vs winter — what's the difference?

  • All-season: Best for spring, summer, fall. Compromise performance below 7°C. Not certified for severe snow.
  • All-weather: Has the mountain/snowflake symbol. A real year-round option for milder Canadian climates, but a true winter tire still wins in deep cold and snow.
  • Winter: Designed for cold, snow, and ice. Best stopping distance and traction in winter conditions. The right choice for Ottawa.

TPMS — Tire Pressure Monitoring System

If your TPMS warning light is on, drive in for a free pressure check. Sometimes it's just cold weather dropping pressure; sometimes it's a slow leak or a failed sensor. We diagnose, replace, and reprogram TPMS sensors for most vehicles.
